National Media Group and CTC Media are announcing the launch of a unified online platform.

The new resource More.TV will become a virtual operator of TV and VOD content offering live TV streaming, as well as broadcasting of the most popular Russian and foreign content both for free by advertising model (AVOD) and through paid subscription (SVOD).

The major advantage of More.TV is the presentation of exclusive Russian and foreign content in all environments, including online, mobile applications, Smart TV and set-top boxes. Users will be given access to all platforms. TV streaming will be implemented using ‘Vitrina TV’ technology.

More.TV model will offer the possibility of integration into TV operators’ consoles and mobile operators’ OTT services.

As part of the partnership agreement signed by the National Media Group and the Skolkovo Foundation on 1 June 2018, the M3 company, which was created for the purpose digital business implementation, was granted resident status in Skolkovo.

The new service is scheduled to launch in early 2019. The new company is now actively recruiting technical and production staff.

"Launching More.TV as a new technological project is an important step towards increasing the users’ comfort and convenience of content consumption. So far, we have had limited representation in the digital environment. However, the creation of More.TV will allow us to complete the systematization of content production and monetization in all environments," said National Media Group CEO Olga Paskina.

"Launching More.TV is one more step to provide our audience with the widest possible access to CTC Media products. Our company has a huge library of content that will appeal to audiences of all ages, and this in turn will make it possible to generate revenue on our projects not only on TV screens, but also on the net," said CTC Media CEO Vyacheslav Murugov.

Denis Gorshkov has been appointed CEO of M3. His responsibilities include managing the two companies’ Internet assets and online services.

"It’s been a long time since TV meant only TV sets. Today TV also works and profits very successfully on the Internet. We will collect the best examples of world television in one place in order to create a unique user experience and to help our audiences to fully control when and how they watch their favorite content," Gorshkov said.

Denis Gorshkov has over a decade of experience in the field of content management and media production. Until recently he occupied a position of CEO of AMEDIA TV, where he was responsible for the development of the AMEDIATEKA online service and AMEDIA pay TV channels.
