Public Talk with Fedor Bondarchuk and Elena Brodskaya Cinema for a Billion at Moscow State Institute of International Relations
On March 21, at one of the most prestigious universities in Russia, MGIMO (Moscow State Institute of International Relations), a public talk was held with the director Fedor Bondarchuk and the Vice President of Studio Marketing for Disney in Russia and the CIS, Elena Brodskaya. The meeting was organized in anticipation of the launch of the Marketing Cinema course at the film school Industry, supervised by Elena Brodskaya. During the event, filmmakers told students what has helped the Russian film business to succeed, what prospects await them, and how the Russian film industry is different to the international industry.
Elena Brodskaya – Vice President, Studio Marketing (The Walt Disney Company in Russia and the CIS
Elena Brodskaya graduated from the faculty of journalism at Lomonosov Moscow State University. She began her career in the film industry as a PR manager at the film company West. She worked as a journalist and TV news observer in the magazine Afisha and the weekly publication Bolshoy Gorod. She was an editor of the film department, and then editor-in-chief at the magazine Tsvetnoy Televizor. From 2004 to 2006, she headed the Marketing and PR Department at Central Partnership. She has been marketing films in Russia and the CIS at Disney since 2006. Alongside theatrical marketing, she also promoted Home Video and the Disney Channel for several years.
