In 2005 CTC Media appeared to be the the first Russian television company to launch a specialized themed channel. Domashniy was the first television channel to focus on a particular niche, catering entirely to the interests of its target audience—women between the ages of 25 and 59.
Also Domashniy was the first Russian channel to introduce a multi-genre TV network format. The channel offers a unique viewing experience that combines virtually all television genres, which complement one another, and also touches upon a very diverse range of real life issues.
The channel’s technical penetration in Russia is 93.6%.
